The Faber Superia HT763 completely resolves the two biggest fears of upgrading to a built-in hob: liquid damage and cramped burners. By deliberately spreading a 3-burner layout across a massive 76cm footprint, it allows true multi-tasking without large pots colliding. During our rigorous evaluations, the standout feature was unequivocally its spillage-proof valve architecture. By sealing the burner bases, Faber effectively protects the delicate internal manifold from catastrophic boiled-over milk and curries, ensuring this premium appliance outlasts standard open-base competitors.

⚡ Key Performance Highlights:

  • ✔ Spillage-Proof Valves: Sealed burner bases physically prevent liquid overflows from seeping in and rusting the internal gas manifold.
  • ✔ Expansive 76cm Footprint: Uncrowded geometry provides spectacular handle clearance, allowing you to easily center multiple oversized pots.
  • ✔ Melt-Proof Metal Knobs: Premium metallic control dials safely absorb and dissipate intense ambient heat that would otherwise melt standard plastic knobs.
  • ✔ Triple-Ring Brass Firepower: Delivers aggressive, commercial-grade heat specifically tailored for rapid boiling and heavy wok-frying.
  • ⚠️ PNG Nozzle Change Required: Factory-set for standard LPG cylinders; strictly requires an authorized technician to swap nozzles if you use pipeline gas.

🚀 Quick Buying Verdict:

The definitive choice for heavy-duty Indian kitchens making the transition to a built-in hob. If you want European aesthetics but require idiot-proof protection against accidental curry spills and the physical space to use large cookware, this Faber model is a flawless, long-lasting investment.

Description

🔬 How We Evaluated This: We installed the Faber Superia HT763 (Model: 106.0750.611 / B0GSFM4C3X) into our appliance test kitchen to evaluate its spatial geometry and structural limits. Because this is a wide 76cm 3-burner unit, we simultaneously loaded it with an oversized biriyani pot on the 3.3 kW triple-ring burner, alongside a standard pressure cooker and a milk boiler. We deliberately allowed starchy rice water to boil over to test the integrity of the “Spillage-Proof” valve seals, evaluated the frictional grip of the cast-iron pan supports with round-bottomed vessels, and tested the responsiveness of the D-battery auto-ignition system under humid coastal conditions.

Uncrowded Multi-Tasking: The 76cm Spatial Advantage

A common mistake buyers make is purchasing a cramped 60cm 4-burner hob, only to realize that large pots physically collide in the center, rendering one or two burners entirely useless. The Faber Superia HT763 takes the opposite approach. By spreading just three highly efficient brass burners across an expansive 76cm wide toughened glass chassis, it unlocks massive breathing room. You can effortlessly center a wide commercial-grade dosa tawa and a massive 5-litre cooker side-by-side without their handles clashing, making this arguably more practical for heavy Indian meal prep than a cramped 4-burner alternative.

The Spillage-Proof Valve Architecture

Traditional built-in hobs suffer catastrophic failures when milk or curries boil over, as the liquid seeps past the burner and short-circuits the internal gas valves. Faber explicitly counters this by integrating Spillage-Proof Valve Technology. The burner bases are sealed against liquid ingress, meaning accidental overflows remain trapped on the glass surface where they can be quickly wiped away. This dramatically extends the lifespan of the internal brass manifold and the delicate auto-ignition wiring.

Tri-Ring Brass Firepower & Cast Iron Armor

Engineered to handle intense thermal demands, the HT763 is armed with a powerful 3.3 kW Triple-Ring Dual Flame Burner, supported by a 2.0 kW and a 1.6 kW double-ring burner. The premium brass construction optimizes gas consumption while delivering the aggressive, concentrated heat necessary to sear meats and boil massive volumes of water rapidly. To support the sheer physical weight of these heavy meals, Faber abandoned flimsy steel wires and utilized Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Pan Supports. These rugged grids aggressively grip the slippery bottoms of traditional kadhais and transfer the downward weight securely into the chassis, perfectly isolating the toughened black glass from stress fractures.

Battery-Operated Auto-Ignition & Metal Knobs

This hob features a reliable 1.5V DC auto-ignition system powered by a standard D-size (large cylinder) battery hidden underneath the chassis. This entirely eliminates the need for messy electrical cords trailing across your kitchen backsplash. The interface is controlled via premium Ergonomic Metallic Knobs, providing a heavy, tactile feel that won’t melt or crack from ambient thermal radiation—a common failure point in cheaper hobs using plastic dials.

Expert Balanced Performance Assessment

✔ Performance Pros

  • Expansive 76cm footprint prevents pot collisions, offering massive workspace for 3 large vessels.
  • Spillage-proof valves securely protect the internal manifold from boiled-over liquids.
  • Massive 3.3 kW Triple-Ring brass burner delivers aggressive commercial-style firepower.
  • Heavy cast-iron pan supports and metallic knobs guarantee long-term premium durability.

✖ Performance Cons

  • At 76cm wide, it may not fit into older granite cutouts designed for standard 60cm stoves.
  • Requires a wide 90cm chimney to effectively capture smoke from the widely spaced outer burners.
  • Heavy cast-iron grids can be cumbersome to lift and maneuver into standard kitchen sinks for washing.

Target Demographics: Is the Faber Superia HT763 Right For You?

Positioned aggressively in the ₹17,000 to ₹18,000 premium bracket, the Faber Superia HT763 is a masterful architectural upgrade for modern modular kitchens. It is purpose-built for discerning home chefs who prioritize massive physical workspace and structural durability over cramming as many burners as possible onto a tiny slab. If you want the ultra-sleek, flush aesthetic of a built-in European hob but demand the heavy-duty firepower and spillage protection required for aggressive daily Indian cooking, this unit is an uncompromising investment.

⚠️ Dealbreaker Alert: Built-In Cutout Dimensions & Fuel Supply

If you are executing a flush built-in installation, you must instruct your granite cutter to adhere strictly to the internal carcass dimensions of 730 mm (Width) x 430 mm (Depth). Furthermore, this hob is factory-calibrated exclusively for standard LPG cylinders. If your residential complex relies on Piped Natural Gas (PNG), a Faber-authorized technician must swap the internal brass nozzles prior to first use; otherwise, the flames will burn dangerously low and yellow.

User Intent FAQ & Troubleshooting

How do I power the auto-ignition? Do I need an electrician?

No electrician is required. The HT763 uses an independent battery-operated ignition system. It requires a single 1.5V D-size (thick cylinder) battery, which slides into a hidden compartment on the underside of the chassis. Depending on your cooking frequency, a single battery typically lasts 8 to 12 months.

Can this hob be used as a regular free-standing stove?

Yes, most premium hobs in this series feature a hybrid Flexi-design. They come with heavy rubberized legs that allow the unit to sit securely on top of your granite counter like a standard premium stove. You can easily transition to a flush built-in installation later during a kitchen renovation by removing the legs.

What makes the metallic knobs better than standard plastic?

When cooking with a massive 3.3 kW triple-ring burner, immense ambient heat radiates across the glass surface. Over several years, standard plastic or Bakelite knobs can become brittle or melt slightly. Metallic knobs absorb and dissipate this heat safely, ensuring lifelong smooth operation and a premium tactile feel.

Test Kitchen Recommended Pairings

To safely execute a flush built-in installation for this wide 76cm hob, we strongly mandate acquiring these essential upgrades:

Steel Braided Hob Safety Hose (ISI)

When routing gas lines permanently underneath a closed granite counter, standard orange rubber pipes present a severe leakage and rat-bite risk. An armored, steel-braided ISI safety hose ensures leak-free fuel delivery to your heavy-duty brass burners.

✔ Mandatory Installation Component

90cm Kitchen Exhaust Chimney

Because this hob chassis spans an expansive 76cm, a standard 60cm chimney will completely fail to extract the massive smoke plume generated by the outer burners. You must pair this unit with a 90cm chimney to keep your kitchen grease-free.

✔ Essential Spatial Upgrade

📊 Expert Editorial Summary: Is the Faber Superia HT763 Worth It?

After extensive evaluations, the Faber Superia HT763 proves to be one of the most intelligently designed hobs on the market. By actively choosing a 3-burner layout over an expansive 76cm width, Faber completely eradicated the pot-collision problem that plagues 4-burner stoves, allowing massive Indian cookware to sit comfortably side-by-side. The integration of spillage-proof valves protects the internal manifold from catastrophic boiled-over curries, while the massive 3.3 kW triple-ring burner delivers searing commercial-grade heat. Anchored by heavy cast-iron pan supports, heat-resistant metal knobs, and a spectacular 5-year glass and valve warranty, it is the ultimate uncompromising centerpiece for high-end modular kitchen renovations.

  • ✦ Massive 76cm Footprint: Uncrowded geometry provides spectacular handle clearance, allowing genuine multi-vessel cooking.
  • ✦ Spillage-Proof Valves: Sealed burner bases protect the delicate internal manifold from damaging liquid overflows.
  • ✦ Triple-Ring Firepower: The 3.3 kW brass burner aggressively speeds up boiling and handles massive wok-frying tasks with ease.
  • ✦ Cast Iron Armor: Heavy-duty interlocking grids securely support the immense weight of large pots while protecting the toughened glass.

Test Kitchen Showdown: Faber Superia HT763 vs. Elica & Glen

Transitioning to a built-in hob introduces a terrifying new vulnerability: what happens when starchy rice water or milk boils over? On standard hobs, the liquid flows directly into the internal gas manifold, rusting the valves and destroying the auto-ignition wiring. To see if the Faber Superia HT763 genuinely neutralizes this threat with its “Spillage-Proof” engineering, we ran it head-to-head against a direct premium rival—the Elica 75cm 3-Burner Hob—and a high-end traditional free-standing alternative, the Glen 3-Burner Glass Stove.

During our side-by-side evaluations at the buy.gen.in appliance lab in Kerala, we deliberately flooded all three units with heavy liquid overflows to test their internal shielding. We also loaded their expansive ~75cm glass surfaces with massive 5-litre pressure cookers and wide cast-iron kadhais to assess pot clearance, and continuously ran the high-output brass burners for hours to see how the control knobs handled intense ambient thermal radiation.

Reality Check 1: The Spillage-Proof Lifesaver

On standard European-style hobs, the burner sits loosely in a cavity. When curry inevitably boils over, it drains straight down into the chassis, coating the delicate brass valves in corrosive salt and short-circuiting the auto-ignition spark pins. The Faber Superia HT763 is specifically engineered for Indian cooking habits. Its “Spillage-Proof” design physically seals the burner bases. Liquid overflows are trapped harmlessly on top of the toughened glass where they can be easily wiped away. This single feature drastically extends the lifespan of the hob and justifies the premium price tag over standard models.

Reality Check 2: Metal Knobs vs. Thermal Melting

The HT763 packs a massive 3.3 kW triple-ring brass burner. When you run this burner on high for an hour to sear heavy meats, it radiates intense ambient heat across the front of the glass. On competing premium models that use plastic or Bakelite dials, this continuous thermal exposure causes the knobs to slowly warp, become brittle, or even melt at the base. Faber anticipates this stress by utilizing heavy-duty Metal Knobs, completely eliminating the risk of thermal degradation while offering a highly premium, tactile turning resistance.

Reality Check 3: The Uncrowded 76cm Paradigm

Many homeowners mistakenly buy 4-burner hobs squeezed into 60cm frames, only to realize they can never use all four burners simultaneously because their 5-litre cookers collide in the middle. The Faber Superia HT763 uses an expansive 76cm chassis but dedicates it entirely to just 3 burners. This geometry provides spectacular breathing room. You get the aesthetic grandeur of a large European hob, but with the practical capability to simultaneously center an oversized biriyani pot and a wide dosa tawa without their handles clashing.

🎯 The Definitive Buying Verdict

  • Buy the Faber Superia HT763 (Spillage Proof) if: You want a high-end built-in hob but are terrified of liquid overflows ruining the internal mechanics. The spillage-proof valves, melt-proof metal knobs, and expansive 76cm width make it an incredibly durable, idiot-proof centerpiece for heavy Indian cooking.
  • Buy the Elica 3-Burner Hob (75cm) if: You prioritize specific burner configurations or find a massive discount, but you must be willing to exercise strict discipline against milk and curry boil-overs to protect its open base.
  • Buy the Glen 3-Burner Glass Stove if: You are on a strict budget, cannot cut your granite counter for a built-in installation, and simply need a reliable, free-standing traditional stove.
9.5Expert Score
A brilliantly spacious 76cm hob that finally protects its internal mechanics from catastrophic liquid overflows.
The Faber Superia HT763 is an engineering triumph for households transitioning to modern modular kitchens. During our exhaustive stress tests, we were highly impressed by how Faber directly addressed the most common causes of hob failure. By implementing Spillage-Proof valves, they effectively sealed off the internal brass manifold, ensuring that accidental milk or curry overflows remain harmlessly on the glass surface instead of destroying the auto-ignition wiring. Spreading just three heavy-duty brass burners across an expansive 76cm chassis proved to be a masterstroke, allowing us to simultaneously run large biriyani pots and tawas without a single handle collision. Topped with melt-proof metal knobs, robust cast-iron pan supports, and an exceptional 5-Year warranty on the glass and valves, it firmly justifies its premium ₹17,000+ price tag as a lifelong kitchen centerpiece.

Installations should be free for new products.
    >Service guy had problem that why the package was opened. As per him, the package was to be opened by them only. I showed him the OTP SMS from Amazon, clearly mentioning to CHECK THE PACKAGE BEFORE GIVING OTP. Then he started showing attitude, so we politely cancelled the entire installation procedure, and opt for return.

The burner is good and the glass is strong and scratchless. The burner itself has no noise and auto-ignition works perfectly on batteries. It is very easy to use Nd easy to install ourselves even though faber sent an installation expert to install it for the first time. The burner is quite safe and there has been no gas leakages in the last one year though it lacks an auto cut feature. we are satisfied after using it for almost one year. The delivery had some issues like the wrong model being delivered etc so we had to get it replaced twice. But post that the burner has been functioning flawlessly. The post sale service for faber is also satisfactory. So overall it has been a good experience
